Programs and Services...

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Southwest Idaho District Council, Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing a unique style of personal assistance with food, clothing, rent, utilities and companionship to people facing economic, emotional or spiritual crises.

In 2008, we assisted 6,144 of our neighbors in need. We made 2,430 Home Visits and provided $225,510 in Direct Aid. As a private, nonprofit charity, the Society relies on private individuals and local businesses and organizations for support.

Everything St. Vincent de Paul does is motivated by a sense of compassion for those struggling with poverty, loneliness, illness, family problems and many other difficulties. The Vincentian spirit inspires us to action, sustains our commitment and challenges us to become more like Christ. Every encounter with our fellow man is an opportunity to share our Vincentian spirit.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul
The poor are hungry not only for food, they are hungry to be recognized as human beings.
They are hungry for dignity and to be treated as we are treated. They are hungry for our love.
