The Society of St. Vincent de Paul
Thanksgiving is a traditional North American holiday to give thanks at the conclusion of the harvest season. Unfortunately, there are many families in our community who have not been blessed with a bountiful harvest. As our population grows, the number of those in need grows along with it.
For the past 16 years, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul has sponsored The Thanksgiving Family Food Box Project so that those who may have otherwise not been able to share a Thanksgiving Dinner with their families, are able to do so. The success of this Project is only realized by the generosity of the Ada County community. Last year, with the help of our community, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul distributed over 2,100 Thanksgiving Dinner Food Boxes.
If you would like to share your bounty, and HELP US HELP PEOPLE, please contact us at 695-7831 so that we are able to assign your Thanksgiving Food Box a number, and determine which location is most convenient for you to drop off your Thanksgiving Food Box. If given enough notice, we can make arrangements to have your Food Box picked up. Thank you for your willingness to assist The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in this most important Holiday Project.
Things to be mindful of:
DO keep the turkey and foil pan separate.
