Overview

St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Idaho has a reentry advocacy arm called Systemic Change of Idaho. We focus on advocacy in the Idaho State Legislature and educating the community about the challenges of being a returning citizen.

Mission:

Here at Systemic Change of Idaho, we are committed to working together to shift our criminal justice system to focus on building strong communities, advancing restorative justice and promoting the human development of each person. We are striving to build transformative relationships that create better understanding and compel each of us to act. We want to go beyond recidivism reduction and promote the common good.

COOKIES FOR MAX (IMSI)

For the past decade churches in the Treasure Valley have sent cookies to the men at IMSI (Idaho Maximum Security Institution) during the holidays. The cookies are then repackaged into individual bags and delivered to each offender in his cell by a religious volunteer. For men who have very little contact from visitors and limited contact with each other via their lockdown status it is a powerful message of love. For some it is the only Christmas connection these men have each year. We are looking to make this tradition even more successful.

HOW TO BECOME INVOLVED

Cookies must be store-bought. No homemade cookies unfortunately! The easiest way to support is to send a check to IMSI Hope Community Phase II. The address is 1775 W. State St., #191 Boise, ID 82702, and write cookies in the memo of the check. We will purchase cookies for you. The deadline is December 10th as we will deliver the cookies on December 14th.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
