Help Line and Home Visit Program

We responded to over 7,000 calls to our Help Line. This means we helped over 20,000 individuals! When someone calls, a pair of volunteers visit the individual, in their home, and assess needs on a case by case basis. We often help with rent, utilities, furniture, clothes, transportation, and other needs. Click here to learn more.

Thrift Stores

We operate six thrift stores across Southwest Idaho. These locations offer gently used, low-cost items to the community. Additionally, we also distributed $248,000 worth of furniture, clothes, and household goods to those in need at no cost in 2019. Click here to learn more.

Food Pantries

Our five food pantries serve hundreds of families each week with nutritious food to keep families healthy and stretch food budgets. Last year, we distributed around $1,750,000 worth of groceries. Click here to learn more.

Community Suppers

The dining hall on Overland Road serves hot and healthy meals to the community several nights a week. Additionally, we work together with several other bench area churches to provide dinners in the Overland Food Desert area. Click here to learn more.

Reentry Programs

Thousands of Men and Women are released from jail or prison each year. The reentry process back into society is extremely difficult. St. Vincent de Paul has numerous programs and resources designed to help our returning citizens make a successful reentry. Click here to learn more.

Seasonal Programs

Thanksgiving Food Box Program: We provided thanksgiving dinner for over 12,640 people in 2019. (FY20)
Christmas Toy Store: Christmas gifts for 3,463 Kids and Teens in need.
Mountain Home Summer Feeding Program: Free lunch and activities for youth in Mountain Home during Summer.

Prescription Assistance Program

Prescription Medications can be a financial burden for many. Our specialist helps secure these medications for those in need at no cost. No one should have to choose between much needed medication and staying fed or paying rent. Click here to learn more.

This brand new program launched this fall. We piloted the first cohort and we are now accelerating the frequency of this critical program to address systemic poverty and help folks in minimum wage jobs transition to living wage careers. Click here to learn more.

Things look a little different at St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantries these days due to COVID-19. With double the clients we are used to, and a drive through system, the Idaho National Guard and Team Rubicon are now staffing our food pantry. We are immensely thankful for their hard work during this crisis.

We are still in desperate need of financial donations to keep food on the shelves and the lights on so that we can provide for the thousands of Idahoans who are relying on our services. Can we count on you to help us help others?

St. Vincent de Paul is responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic with more than food, rent, and utility assistance! We combed our thrift stores for all the bolts of fabric that we had. That fabric is now in the hands of The Treasure Valley Medical Masks Sewing Angels a group that has sprung up to sew masks for medical professionals and other individuals!

Thank you KTVB’s Kim Fields KTVB for covering our fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. We continue to experience record demand but also record generosity. We are amazed by the outpouring of support we have received thus far. It’s directly translating to food on our shelves for individuals in need. Thank you!
