Welcome to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Southwest Idaho District Council's Web Site. This Site has information about the Society, our Programs and Events, How We Give Help and How To Get Help, Volunteer Opportunities, as well as information on how to donate to the Society.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides its members with opportunities to participate in multiple volunteer services directed to the poor, with a unique focus on one-to-one personal services through home visitation, aid, information/referral services, support, and problem solving. Volunteers serve meals, offer social support at our Community Dinners, contribute to strengthening families and are advocates for the poor. The Society is dedicated to the support of, and involvement in, community service.

Idaho Gives
May 2nd, 2013...
On Thursday, May 2, we as Idahoans have an opportunity to make a difference. This will be the inaugural state wide Idaho Gives event sponsored by the Idaho Nonprofit Center. Literally, hundreds of nonprofit organizations in Idaho will share in this fund raising event. Thanks to the primary sponsors, your donations will be multiplied with a pool of award money that will be available to all participating nonprofits. Because Idaho Gives is mainly online, the various social media will play an important role in generating interest. Reserve a few minutes on May 2: Idaho Gives on Facebook, Twitter and idahogives.org.

Parish Social Ministry Regional Conference
Set for May 17-18, 2013...
Catholics from Washington, Oregon and Utah will be joining their Idaho counterparts at a regional conference on Parish Social Ministry May 17-18 at St. Mark Church in Boise, ID. Registration and Event Information can be found on our Events page.
