Our lady of good counsel conference

The Mountain Home area is home to approximately 17,000 residents, with a poverty rate of 12.4% and an average household income of $41,000. Our community encompasses three rural towns as well as Mountain Home Air Force Base. Our organization relies primarily on the generosity of local individuals and parish donations in Mountain Home, Idaho. Each month, we provide food assistance to more than 500 individuals and 200 households, distributing nearly 200 containers of homemade soup.

In fiscal year 2025, we supported families by covering essential living expenses, including $7,500 in rent, $2,400 in electricity, $1,200 in water, and $700 in heating and gas. These efforts were made possible through the dedication of our volunteer team, whose commitment ensures that resources reach those who need them most.

The demand for assistance continues to grow as more families struggle to make ends meet. While we are deeply grateful for the support of our community, additional funding is critical to sustain our services. This request will allow us to continue providing vital aid at the level we have achieved, ensuring that vulnerable households in Mountain Home receive the help they need.
